Thermal wax pellet

Anything I should be aware of when removing the front eccentric shaft bolt to access the thermal wax pellet? Also, any methods of removing the bolt would be appreciated.

i was thinking of doing that. did you heat up the bolt before you did it? is there anything i should be careful of so nothing goes out of space?

also make sure you pull the IGN fuse so it does not start and spray oil everywhere

don't you have to depress the clutch to keep the thrust bearings where they go?

dont forget about the 2 flat washer bearings. Keep the clutch held in with a board to the seat or get a friend. It will keep pressure agaist the bearing preventing them from falling

How would you keep the engine from rotating?
Yes, I used thread locker and silicone sealant on the bolt.

you could maybe wedge something on the back side? or have someone with super gorilla hands hold the pulley while you tighten it...
