Thermal wax pellet
Anything I should be aware of when removing the front eccentric shaft bolt to access the thermal wax pellet? Also, any methods of removing the bolt would be appreciated.

breaker bar .. socket .. crank motor just enough to break it loose... thats what i did worked great
i was thinking of doing that. did you heat up the bolt before you did it? is there anything i should be careful of so nothing goes out of space?
use some penetrating oil.... let it soak... and after that its pretty straight foward..

lol of course.

don't you have to depress the clutch to keep the thrust bearings where they go?
dont forget about the 2 flat washer bearings. Keep the clutch held in with a board to the seat or get a friend. It will keep pressure agaist the bearing preventing them from falling

dam you musta been writing the same time i was haha

how did you guys torque the front eccentric shaft bolt?
anyone?
with a torque wrench
dont forget to use some thread locker on the bolt when you reinstall it.
80-98 ft lbs
How would you keep the engine from rotating?
Yes, I used thread locker and silicone sealant on the bolt. |
you could maybe wedge something on the back side? or have someone with super gorilla hands hold the pulley while you tighten it...
