Are there replacement sunrooves. (Or is that "roofs"?) Maybe carbon fiber ones?

Yeah, my sunroof isn't the only one that's going out. It's getting rusted and so forth and I need to take it out anyway, to clean it. Are there any aftermarket replacements out there? I'm told glass ones are hard to come by, but I was wondering if any carbon fiber ones had been made.

http://www.fc3s.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10 Theres the thread at the www.fc3s.org forum. You can also check out my carbon fiber page on his site at www.fc3s.org/cf.html

Ill start working on the sunroof as soon as I get it. I should be ready to sell them within 2 weeks of getting the one from bonzaitoyota.

Yes they are. I know there are a couple on Ebay right now and I think they are going for about 400 bucks a pop. Supposedly I heard that it was an option to have a glass top sunroof and they are very rare indeed. Maybe if they go down to about 200 street value wise I might consider one but until then, im using the metal one!

Ill have to see when I get the stock piece from john. The price depends on how much work it will be for me to make it.

But how much would you pay? (this question is for anyone who is interested)

I think $200 is a good price range, then again I'm not the one doing all the work IS it going to be a bolt in replacement, with the stock rubber\seal, mounting, etc.

I wan't one, and I'll get one, even if I have to do a law away plan with you

$200 probably is fair based on what CF stuff sells for, but if you compare it to getting another metal one it's pretty expensive.

...plus Canadians have to deal with our poorly valuated paseo. (just you wait until Ontario seperates and Americans have to pay $1.5 to get one of ours )

BTW: Change your sig back.

I'd pay about 200 + shipping if it's worth it, like if it bolts right on like the stiock one (which im guessing it does since your making it with a mold of a stock one, and if it includes the little rubber trim piece. count me in

Im finished with the molds. I was actually going to start the first set of cf ones tonight. Dave gets the first set, but I should have the second set done by monday. Go ahead and order if you dont want to pay full price. The pre-order price is still in effect, but not for long.

I could include a new seal, but it will raise the price. I really doubt I will be able to get a better price on the new seal than anyone else. SO it will raise the price by however much Mazda charges for the seal. But it will fit just like stock.
