check the drain holes in the corners of the hatch's seat. they get pluged up with leaves and can prevent water from draining out to the bottom of the car and conceivably into your trunk.

yeah thats the first thing i checked actually, and made sure my drain hoses from the sunroof were not kinked.i think it might be my rear window seal, but it seems like it would be wet all around if it were that and not just beihnd the driver seat and around the spare tire

well it sounds like the hatch seal if all the drain tubes are in good shape. they dont even have to look damaged to not seal, just become deformed. next time it rains go out and sit in your car and see where the watter is really coming in from

ok,i poored water into the drivers side sunroof tracks and the passenger side sunroof tracks, and the drivers side does not drain by the rear windor or front fender like the passenger.so that has to be why my drivers side floor behind the seet is wet,and im figuring the spare tire place is wet due to the rear window seal that is visibly crappy,is there a temp fix for the rear window?

as a ghetto fix you could always just jam towels in the cracks where the water comes in from. i think theres a drain plug in the spare-tire well. if not you can drill a hole and buy a gromet to plug it back up. it'd help prevent rust onset but wouldnt fix the root of the problem

Did you check the drain tubes located in the HATCH area. They are located in the Rear Corners of the car. It seems you only checked the sunroof drain's. Alot of times the hatch drain's will get clogged and cause a huge mess. Get a metal coat hanger and get all the crap out from the tubes. you'll be all set after wards. Also, if your up for it, remove the rubber drain plug from the bottem of the spare tire well. this will stop accumulation of water and you wont have to worry about rust/mildew or fish spontainiusly(sp?) appearing!
