There is not a thing wrong with mine !!!!

Ok, I have been on this forum for a few years. New '90 GTU - clutch and drive shaft and junked it at 315K due to rust. (228K on original engine) 2nd '90 GXL sold with not a penny other than normal maintainence after diving it 3 years and 117 on the odometer. Now have a '90 vert like new with 43K on original engine and body. Not a penny spent beyond normal maintainance. Old fart here 61 y/o who does/did not mod or abuse any of the three and near perfect reliability on all of them. Lets start a thread on those who expect/respect an exceptional product and do/has not suffer(d) the neglect of those who want her to be more than she is or mod beyond the limits of a great ride designed some 20 years ago. Rambling here I guess, but a bit tired of repeated same guestions from folks who should of bought a vet or idiots who want to glorify the defeat of a Civic. Get my drift?

Perfect example of the immaturity/ignorance that occasionally suffers this site.

Who's place is it to say whom should have bought a vet or a RX'7? People take on projects because they like something about them, not cause it's exactly fast, good looking, or reliable... Usually because it's unique, I know I don't see but maybe 2 or 3 other RX-7s in my town and I live in a pretty highly populated place. Plus these are pretty quick cars that have plenty of potential properly modded(enough to beat a stock vet at least) and beating down on civics is fun.

im really confused as to why this thread isnt in the lounge, this isnt a technical Second Generation question, and should be moved. Oh, and some people enjoy getting the most they possibly can out of they're car, through education, trial and error, and excessive research on all aspects of making the most of out your vehicle. What do you expect out of a bunch of kids with hardons? they wanna go fast, they wanna do this and that, if you dont want to hear the ricer **** than dont read it, but this is obviously not a forum for the old fart RX7 owners, this is a forum for everybody. Grow up old man

It's good to hear that not messing with the 7, keeps it running into the 200-300k's. Just like ALL vehicles should, proplerly maintained. I'd like to hear some 200k+ success stories as well, hopefully from original owners. But I doubt too many people bought their's new and still have them.

You lost me until the "drift" part. Drift? YOU DRIFT? HELL YA!!!

Nah, just kiddin. My 7 is the first car I bought for myself, have done all the work on myself, etc. My respect for the car, in turn, has taught me a lot about working on cars and I appreciate that. Nothing wrong with adding a few things here and there for a little extra punch ... and hey, my modifications even helped me get 3 or 4 extra mpg.
