Engine Wiring Harness P/N?

Hi,

Does anyone know what the part number is or where to find it if some markings may still remain?

I have a 10th Anniv T2 and will be rebuilding the engine this winter and after last winter's injector rebuilds, I don't think the harness I have will survive the transplant-- just too brittle.

I need to buy a new one, spoke with Lockwood and they can order the main engine harness, but need the part number.

This is the harness that connects to the ECU and runs into the engine bay along the passenger side. I believe it also has the injector connectors.

If anyone can provide the other engine harness numbers also, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!
Greg O.

My 10th is also getting a rebuild....
I need that part number as well....
The harness on the passenger side, the one comes from ecu is the only one for the engine....
There is also a small harness for the starter....
The harness on the drivers side is for the lights and accesories....

The part no is still on Mazda's parts computer but,in Canada anyway, the part is no longer available. You should be able to get the part no from a Mazda dealer.

Six Rotors,

You were my ace in the hole.... The guys at my local dealers would be lucky to identify my 10th Anniv in their lot when I park there with it. <sigh>

Wasn't there a guy "TwinTurboTeddy" that did a cdrom with a bunch of stuff like manuals and microfiche part scans on it? Maybe I can turn him up.

A while back I did speak to Mazdatrix and the guy thought he could get one, about $500. Maybe I'll call them and see....

Thanks

Six Rotors,

That will do it for me, the other harnesses I think will live. Of course, getting the part number is one thing, getting the harness will be another!

Thanks for your help!

For an 88---N332-18-051N(note there may be some supercessions I didn't find).
For an 87---N332-18-051C(without ABS up to s/n6301)
---N332-18-051E(with ABS and after s/n-6301)
and then it gets complicated,if you don't have fuel injector resistances(after s/n--550168)then it's N332-18-051L.
Let me know if you find any 88 harnesses.

I need that harness-

I own a 88 Turbo II, that harness should also work on my car. I was wondering how hard it is to change the harness without pulling the motor??? I am having fuel injection problems and believe I have a wiring problem and would like to replace the whole harness. Has anyone done a harness change and how hard/long will it take???
Thanks

Hmmm. I don't think you'll actually have to pull the motor, but at the very least remove the upper intake manifold. While you're there, maybe get the injectors cleaned out by someone like RC Engineering. Most of the connections should be reachable then.

Mine harness so brittle and some of the connectors were actually disentegrating, crumbling to bits. Since the wires generally cracked insulation instead of bending, I didn't think it would survive the transplant.

I know this is an old thread but I used the search engine for awhile and this is the best thread for what I need. I can't find any Tii harness for my 88 on any online auction site. And I'm surprised how few positive results I'm getting on various search engines.

I copied down the P/N but no help repeating the process. I sent an email to a local mazda dealer but I am desperately trying to avoid going through them! Rebuilding rotary's on a budget ain't easy..

But then again we all know that!

Any clues on finding a good website for finding fc3s engine wire harness'? New and used.

And call this "research for dummies", but the N/A wiring harness doesn't happen to be compatible with the tii engine/turbo does it?
