My 87 rx7 turbo has had a problem lately where it at first ran very rough and emit a lot of smoke and then it stopped running completely. The smoke smelled strongly of gas. I'm pretty sure it's a fuel problem so i checked the fuel pump and it works fine. My next guess would be to check the injecters but I don't know how, so is there any way to test them?

 

Bring them to an injection shop for flow testing. All the testing you can do is to basically check if they function. You can't easily test spray pattern and flow at home.

 

If you have them out, you might as well get them cleaned. Theres some places online that do it for cheap and do a good job. I think one of them is www.cruzinperformance.com

Don't even bother sending them out. Grab the Yellow Pages and look up "injection". Most communities of any size have an injection shop.
