ya. its not a crucial tension bolt. Just maybe go over and check the torque on all the bolts when you put it back on to be on the safe side

ok i used a different oil pan, and the oil is leaking from the hole where the pass side motor mount bolts onto well theres two holes for the mount one with a closed end and one with a open end.. i circled the hole with the open end where the oil is leaking.. i have the truck jacked up on the side so all the oil is just resting on the problematic side. can i just remove this bolt (tension) and put rtv in the hole to plug it up? the pan doesnt leak just from this hole

the correct way to fix a leaky oil pan gasket is to pull the pan and redo the gasket.

yes i know that, but this isnt the factor the pan isnt leaking. iam using a repu oil pan on a s5 engine. since iam not using the motor mounts theres no bolt to help seal it.

RTV won't seal that hole, it will just slow the leak. RTV is meant to use thinly between two surfaces. I would clean the hole very well and use something like JB weld or a welder to close the hole.

That hole is threaded, if you can find a metric plug that would be the best way to seal the hole.
