temperature question
yes im a noob. To cars in general Detailed noob story- sorry in advance for noob wording.
I just installed a new oem thermostat yesterday, filled the car with coolant, and the car seemed fine... no add coolant buzzing/ except the temp was staying a little higher than usual, higher than the middle. No leaks... today morning i turned the car on and buuuuzzzzzz went the add coolant buzzer... and light. i turned the car off and drove my nissan to work. when i got home i looked at my turbo II reservoir... and it was more than the full line, more than i had added. I opend the other two caps... by the radiator and thermostat (im a noob so i think thats where they are) and it was empty... no more coolant, i had put a lot in there yesterday (a whole, gallon? whatever size they are). I added some more in the one by the thermostat until it kinda spilled from the other side. I put the caps on... and then no more buzzing. The car has been fine for the evening but the temp is staying lower than medium. Oh and before i left the garage i checked the coolant one last time by openin the cap by the radiator and it was full.. no leaking.
im lookin at the service manual right now... the cooling section. but yea, help anyone willing. help appreciated.

Why did you get a new T-stat? Was it just old, or were you running hot?
Any smoke on startup?
Top off the coolant.
Make sure that all hoses going to your overflow from your radiator cap, and down into the overflow, and then the overflow's overflow.
Start the car with the filler neck open, and the heater set to max.
Watch for little bubbles coming up out of the coolant while you wait for the car to get to operating temp. A constant stream of bubbles is a fair sign of coolant seal failure. If not, when the t-stat opens see if any air comes out. Air coming out is ok, as it is just the system burping... it is a steady, non-ending stream of little bubbles that you would not want to see.

Change the rad cap nearest the thermostat with a Mazda one. The negative pressure valve on the cap may not work properly.
This means the system would pressurize, coolant would go to the reservoir, but then not be sucked in when the engine cools.
Also, as stated, check hose to overflow bottle and connections to nipples... I said nipples.

There's a plug in the upper radiator neck w/ a Phillips head on it, that you remove to bleed the air out of the radiator. At least there was on my TII.

Any more input is appreciated-

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but constant bubbles in your filler coolant really only means one thing.
IMHO your coolant seals are shot. You will start to see more and more bubbles over time. If you let the car sit for a week it'll probably smoke on startup. It probably just doesn't have enough coolant in it to make smoke when it sits for a day (yet).
I've been down this same road. I am assembling my motor tomorrow.
