Temperature in Engine compartment

I thought someone might be interested in this. I wired up temp sensors at the bumper, inside the air intake (stock) at the filter and on the strut well in the engine compartment to see how the temp varied. Result were:

Ambient temp 74 deg.
Cool Air at bumper 79
Fresh Air intake at filter 101
Engine compartment at strut 134

Santiago (1987RX7Guy) has some testing showing intake temperature (when he was testing his CAI) as well as other readings.

I'll see if I can find the thread.

I tested it during my highway drive to worl, 1 hour, ambient was about 40 degrees. I then tested it during about a 20 minute drive, mid day.

BTW, when you idle, the heat at the filter box intake goes up rapidly, approaching the engine compartment temp. Most likely picking up heat from the radiator.
