Exclamation Teins broke!, Can i get a replacement?...

Long story short, the teins in the front of my car popped and i cant have the car sitting for a month to send them in to get repaired, i was wondering if i could get different one's with adjustable ride-height and re-use my Tein spring, i was told it might not fix but i have pics for you guys to look at aswell, they look like the stock one's and it's a **** off not being able to just buy 2 struts from tein....

If i can go with another brand what would you recomend?...

what do you think of re-using my Tein spring, can i?...

i was thinking tokico, KYB, etc etc but i need to know if the spring will fit, if it will, hell yeah i'm in the clear, if not, ahh F**K....

i know the ride height might not be the same with a different strut thats why i'd get one thats adjustable, you know, with those funky keys....

i thought most springs were universal...?

thanx again for the help!...

pics of teins....

If they broke, I'd say you could get Tein to replace them.

Get em rebuilt. Tein has a U.S. facility that rebuilds them, around $75 a piece. Do a gogle search.

wait, your teins are jdm as in 'not meant to be sold outside japan' jdm?

don't send them in to tein, or else they will repo them and not give them back to you.

there was a thread floating around somewhere, where someone bought a rhd japanese FC, sent in the coils to get rebuilt and tein simply grabbed 'em and didn't give them back, saying, 'these were never meant to be outside japan, how'd you get your hands on them?'

otherwise, if they are normal-sold-in-the-US teins, you can get them rebuilt.

That cracks me up!! LOL. The Tein SS will confiscate your escaped Japanese product!

I am certain that you heard that somewhere and you're sure it was a credible source but that is rediculus.

the only real possibility is that the Jap shocks are a model not "supported" here in the us.

If Tein grabbed your shocks and wouldn't give them back its proabably because they where never DOT tested and they would take them for insurance reasons. like if you brought a car over from Japan it would be hard to get it registered cause it never went threw any DOT test.
