TED buddy!! take a look

Ted! i see your online. Sure like the forum huh? nice. I have a question for you. The first thing i am going to to to my baby, is take off these awful catalytic converters. and replace it with...what? straight pipe or headers? thing is i dont want the weed wacker on nos sound, i just want it to stay the same. What do you recommend? BTW there is no air care here. I do like the environment, but i need to get around without damaging the engine. Lemme know Thanks!

You got a turbo or non-turbo???

It sounds like you got a non-turbo...&nbsp Sorry, but to gain power from the exhaust, you need to open it up.&nbsp The freer-flowing exhaust system you got, the louder it is - no way around it.&nbsp A Racing Beat exhaust system will suppress a lot of it, and so does an HKS cat-back exhaust, but both are big bucks!

Yes, that is correct, i have an n/a i mean i am not complaining. I got the car for free with a brand new engine in it! and i got it painted I love it sooo much. But are the cats doing my car damage? I just fixed the exhaust it was a gasket, cost 3.26 cents to replace! and it sounded like a weed wacker enough. Everyone said it sounded like a lawn mower. "Yeah come over and cut my grass" i replied "how about i kick your *** in a race of course" But i dont want TO SOUND LIKE A LAWN MOWER! BAH

Rotaries have high-pitched engine notes by design, so don't expect the rumble of a V-8 (unless you hear a bridgeport at idle) the pre-cat gets clogged easily, so definitely get a downpipe.

i have a RB Roadrace header true duals back to resinators and the to 90mm n1s with removeable silencers. Its still a little high pitched and loud but nothing compared to my org set up (Header str8 back to n1s) Its suits me ok and is quiet enuff when your not in it. My motor is also SP by the way so that doesnt help the sounds problem but it flows nice.
