Tech Tech, 160mph ignition problem

The 160 mph was just an attention ***** thing.

I have put a 2nd gen 13B into my 1st gen car, I am leaving the fuel injection intact. I am attempting to wire up the CAS, and coils ECT.... And Am getting a headache. I am trying to simplify this install.

I was wondering if I can just eliminate the CAS and Coils- replace them with a distributor and external MSD coils and have it run right...?

Does the ECU control the spark or just relay the info? And if it does relay the info does it effect the fuel?

My understanding was that the MAF (AFM) Controls the amount of fuel entering the chamber... NOt the spark... Is this correct?

If so in theory I can run a distributor instead... Anyone shed any light on this?

You cannot eliminate the CAS. It's what tells the ECU how fast the engine's spinning and where in the cycle it is. Have you looked at the ECU wiring diagram? The wiring to the CAS and coils is pretty simple. What problems are you having?

Son Of a bitch..... I have the FSM I have the wiring diagram.... GD.. You always jump in and try to act like someone is retarded or something... I swear.

I NOW have the CAS the Leading and trailing coils done, The initial set... All I need now is to wire up an ignition lead and fuel pump prime.

I researched this for 3 months before I even started FYI. Like my post said I am exploring other options incase I need to adjust..

Well pardon me for trying to help your ungrateful ***. Remind me to never do it again.

If you've done so much research, you would have the answers you asked for. It's all staring you in the face in the FSM. I find it very hard to believe you couldn't work it out if you've already posted achived info on it.

Look dumbass, ALL your questions can be answered in the FSM.
So either you're too stupid to comprehend that, or you're too lazy to do it - either way you have no right to reply to NZConvertible cause HE IS RIGHT.

The damn FSM is hard to follow when looking at the ECU wirning INTERNALLY! I know where the wiring routes outside the ECU I was trying to determine if the CAS had any effect on the Fuel flow. NZ just jumped in with A smart *** remark AS ALWAYS. I am not going to continue this **** slinging contest. It was just that NZ always pops in and acts condesending, I decided for fun to pull up his last 20 posts.... Do it for fun you will see what a pompus dick he is.....

BTW RETed butt out this didn't concern you.

THANKS HIGGI, I did a NEt search on the euro spec 7's and it looks like they run the same ecu they just eliminate the wiring that is not needed....Thanks for your NON-sarcastic, informative, to the point help.
