tb mod/check engine light

tb mod/check engine light
ever since i did the tb mod my check engine light has been on. it doesn't flash at me, it's just continuous, no code.
i need to pass smog now and if the light is on it is an automatic failure. my car runs just fine, idles normally blah blah...
is there anything i can do to just turn it off? snip a wire or something?
it's not giving me a code and i suspect it's my TPS that's throwing the light since i had to disconnect it to do the mod but everything runs just fine.
any suggestions?
