Talk me into turbo swapping my car

In the past 10 years i've owned 7 RX-7's.My 1st one was an 88 GTU and thats the only one i have now.Over the years it's had 2 motors (Ya thats right i said MOTOR!), a handful of N/a tranny's,and gone through some changes but nothing drastic until last friday when some piece of **** scumbag hillbilly tried to burn it.They poured gas in the bins, lit it and shut the door.Well THEY ****** FAILED, But now my nice 88 GTU turbo interior is gone.On the bright side i have a 10th anniversary that has a blown motor (like they all do) and the body isn't that great but it has a real nice black leather interior.SO.........Before this loser tried to burn my car it had a decent arctic silver paint job which is now junk around the roof,A MINT blue turbo interior,S5 taillights and all the usual goodies.after putting the 2nd N/a motor in it and not being even close to impressed with the power of that torqueless boat anchor i was bullshit.I LOVE CARBED V8's (cry about it) so thats what i was gonna do.I was gonna get a Granny's small block ford kit for 395.00,I have a mint T5 outta my mustang (I upgraded to a TKO500) and use a 94-up 351W (94 and up are roller motors) with trickflow twisted wedge heads and make real power cheap 400+HP for 1000.00. No EFI,No Bullshit.Bolt it in,start it up and go to the track. As u can imagine i'm pissed about my car and kinda pissed i have to part the 10th ae but my car is my car and which ever car has to die to fix it, OH WELL.I had pretty much refused to put another rotary in it for a handful of reasons, power per dollar ,and the fact that factory EFI sucks! and i'm not about to spend 1000 dollars, shitloads of time, jump through hoops, learn rocket science to make a 25 year old mazda run. Before u give me **** about (picking on EFI) please remember that i also have a 87 Mustang GT,87 Buick Grand National, and a 1949 pontiac silverstreak so my hands are full of choice cars to work on, so i'm not about to marry the mazda and spend 3 years and 10 grand on it.I want to drive the wheels off of it and have it be RELIABLE!!! and get decent Mileage.I can do this with a V8 like breakin sticks and never have to worry about anything. So i have the complete 10th Ae to part out (No this is not a 10th part out thread so save that.I also have a seal set from atkins to rebuild the MOTOR thats in there. So here are the questions that will affect my decision. How much power are u making and what kinda gas mileage are u getting? How long has it been running. How much power can u make on stock efi?Talk me in or outta this! Thanks,Brian.

Grab a buddy and you can do it in a weekend, easily. You'll only regret you haven't done it sooner.

Paragraph much lol?

Sounds like you made your decision.
If you want reliability and don't care for rotaries, probably should swap the heavy ford boat anchor in

Now you can push up to 250rwhp on the stock turbo/management system. With the rtek 2.1(chipped stock ecu) and a hybrid turbo, you can put 350+ down. And... the turbo rotary's power band is wayy more fun.

Fuel mileage sucks when you push them. When I was nice to it I could pull 17mpg's out of my streetported Turbo II. Its a sports car, fuel mileage shouldn't matter too much...

You should turbo swap your car.

It's really difficult to figure out where you're going with all those random stories in stories. Also, paragraphs are a good thing.

You should turbo swap your car.

OK someone set your car on fire and you just said "**** it"? Really, people get away with things like that?

Anyway, I think you should interior swap your car.

in all honesty i think you should sell anything you have rotary related. it just seems you have no respect for these cars. if you have a GN then you should know about boost and efi. rotarys arent for MPG exp. a boosted one. old v8's get shti for mpg so the v8 swap idea just confuses me.
