Pre-heat oven to 450.

stick tailights in

leave in for long enough for the glue to melt

remove tails, remove outer cover (red/yellow overlays), remove inner diffuser

re-seal tails

done.

Yup, it is, just don't break the plastic.

You can use a heat gun instead of an oven as well..or if you really want, you can gangster it with a hair dryer.

450 is WAY too high. Preheat it to 250 so you won't melt your ****. Leave it in the oven for 10-15 mins. I've done 2 sets this way and had no issues.

I've been told that the tail lights from 3rd gen will bolt up. Does anyone know if this is true?

lots of people have had success separating second and third gen tail lights with heat guns and ovens. Just don't melt anything.

And no, third gen tails won't bolt up to an FC

I don't know about you but sticking tail lights in the oven at 450 degrees sounds like a really bad idea LOL

A lot of cooking instructions say that, so why not apply it to taillights

I don't think that's going to look good at all, but it's your car.....

But yes, you *could* smoke them, as for the turn signal, I'm not sure.

world record for me

pre heated my oven to 350 degrees for 10 minutes then just before i was ready to put them inside the oven i brought the range down to 250 degrees

after 4 minutes i removed the light and it came off like butter

as soon as i seperated the diffuser out of the light i quickly put the cover back on the light and held it tight with two clamps and my hands for 2 minutes outside

so all in the matter of about 8 minutes each light was done,
