Question Taillight switch and guage switch

hey guys.. been a long time.. Havne't really posted in here since I crashed my 89 rx back in November.. but... This Thursday morning, I'm picking up my newly refinished 88 turbo II 10th anniversary. Just got a brand new front facia (stock looking one) and a driver side fender (also stock). So, I'm looking at the car, and I'd like to put in my 89 taillights because I like them better than the pre-89.. are there gonna be any probs with the switch over? I'll obviously need to put the right bulbs in the right holes, but it should switch over just fine right? Or is there some kind of potential problem I should look out for? Next is I also like the face guages from the 89+ rather than the pre 89's... I don't know why honestly.... I think it's the little guages, and how they're those 90 degree pieces of pie. Just don't like it for some reason. So I wanna drop in my 89+ guages... Is that gonna be a problem? I wouldn't be surprised if it was. I mean, the miles are gonna be different on the odometer. By a whole damn lot. But who cares. I'm not selling this car. Infact, I don't plan to ever sell it. So it wouldn't matter to me. I've taken out the guages in both my wrecked rx7 and my old parts car rx7. I had a really hard time with the 89, but the 86 was pretty easy... Yes, it's silly for me to switch them in the first place, but hey. I like the newer one. so, let me know before I go screwing myself over. And thanks in advance guys... I can't wait to get my car. life is GONNA be so damn good...........

The engine is a rolling chasis (engine is in car, but doesn't run because the radiator was smashed, and the right wheel doesn't turn) but the engine is in great condition. We were asking 1750 and my father says he has a buyer lined up, so I might have to take that off of my sig. But if it falls through and doesn't pan out, you'll be the first to know. anyways..

What? no one knows anything about taillight switching or guage switching? Damn... come on guys... you're letting me down...

Let's get this straight - you've got a 10th an in perfect shape and you want to start ******* around with the appearance of the car? Are you nuts or just stupid - you have perfection in the form of a Rex in your driveway right now! Just look after the baby and be nice to it and don't **** with what God has wrought!

he's not talking like shogun body kit or anything. so he wants the series 5 lights? can you blame him? the 10AE's are a lot better than black, but the series 5's are better. same with the guages. thats what he's going to be looking at the most on his car except the windshield. I would be a bit upset if he was swapping on the series 5 bumpers and trim, but I don't think this is a big deal.

so one wheel doesn't turn? you should call it an unrolling chassis.

Angry wtf?

Ianbell, what the hell man? I'm swapping TAILLIGHTS and FACE GUAGES! And besides, the car is not PERFECT.. I have some blown fuses . But damn dude, why the hell am I stupid for switching lights and guages? I'm not putting on Euro's or white indiglo guages... damn.. I'm swapping rx parts for rx parts... back off my grill. if you don't have any helpful info, then screw off and don't reply.

Easy p-cheesy, hey.... the wheel rolls, just doesn't turn. it's a rolling non turning chasis.. It's fun trying to get it to turn! with that front right dragging.. made a mess of our drive way .

sorry Jumpyroo...

Thank you DCmina!
