Do you not know that the 93+ RX-7 is a different body style than the 86-91 models???

I guess it could fit if you really wanted to but it would look like **** IMO, the s5 already has a 3 lights style that matches with the style of the car.

Hense how I corrected myself. =)

Why must people critisize?
I was just wondering if it CAN be done,
not saying I was going to do it myself.
I just think those tail lights look alot more clean.

but i guess we're all entitled to our own opinon.
but yeah pics of the 88 tail lights would be nice please.

Realistically, NO they are a completely different shape than 86-91 lights. I'm sure you could probably pay a rediculous amount of money for a custom body shop to hack up your rear end and make them fit but for that kind of $$ you might as well buy a 3rd gen. On the other hand... you could alway duct tape them on, I wouldn't put it past some of the guys in here. Everyone has their idiots, even the Rx-7 forum.

Technically, you can make ANYTHING fit ANYTHING if you have the fabrication know-how / tools / patience for the job. (Not to mention the financial means necessary.)

EDIT: To directly answer your question, No. FD lights will not bolt up to an FC.

Cheers,
Cody

wow just wow!!!
1 - FD tails wont fit because they are round in shape ours are square in shape. If you did mold the fd lights on the fc the rear lights frame will have to be redone thus creating a weak rear now. Also to mention since this car will be as fast your 3 other cars, the body tweak and the vibration alone will crack any bondo you lay there. Oh and lets not forget when looking at the lighst from above the fd is curvy and the fc is a straight back car
2- asking such a question on the wrong section will result in flamage so let me be nice to say "wrong section"
3-If u ask for help be nice, theres nothing more our MODS or dedicated members like than to mess with you about a such stupid question, when you have 3 out of
4 cars that will kill ours. I WILL PUT THAT TO THE TEST RACE ME ON PINKS THIS COMING NOVEMBER!

I said that the one guy,
who said i watch to many ricer vids.

not to everybody,
cause theres probably quite a few cars faster then mine.
not putting down rx7's, they have to my favorite cars.
and built right they are very fast cars.

and after the 3rd post i realized it wouldn't fit.
so theres no need to keep posting "IT WONT FIT"
i just want to see an aftermarket tail light.

and thanks el nene.

Umm, just what is the problem with the normal lights, that you HAVE to replace them with something else?

The norm, for S4 FC guys, is to swap in the nicer S5 taillights. But then again, some people actualy PREFER the oldschool blocky look of the S4 light assembly.

No, they do not make "altEEEZa" type lighting for the FC3S, simply because no self respecting 2nd gen owner would disgrace their car with them... but then we have you. In my honest opinion, if you are worrying more about lights that don't look so bad, and work perfectly fine, rather than your car overheating and needing a new engine, maybe the RX-7 isn't the car for you. This car requires constant care and maintenance, and very high driving skill to fully apreciate,
with the many wrecks I see with people why buy this car and try to push it... It would be a shame for yet another to be gone due to someones stupidity.

As for the S5 lights, well here's what google picture search came up with:

BTW: It only took 2 seconds and I didn't get bitched at for being retarded...

Yeah true enough,
no i've owned a couple first gens.
I know enough about rx7's, but i was just wondering.
cause i like a clean look, but the stock headlights, with some tint/paint.
should do me fine, if not I'll swap to s5.
thanks.

Aftermarket taillights? Did you already put on spinners, tape on hood scoop, park bench spoiler and cut your springs?
