Tach shows 1,500 RPM when it's suppose to be at 3,000RPM
I been having a reoccuring problem with my tach showing 1,500 RPM lower than it should. Now it is constantly doing this and I was just wondering if anybody had any advice on where to start troubleshooting with this.
I hear the "ignitor" is the verdict but I have yet to check it. I also have a extra coil pack for the trailing ignition so I might swap that out and see if anything changes.
Also, whenever I go over ruff terrian (torn up assfault at around 40 or 50 MPH) the tach jumps between a 1,500RPM increment, meaning where it should be and where it resides.
Thanks

Earlier I swapped the trailing coil pack and that fixed the problem. Turns out for some reason there was a wierd blueish-greenish corrosion where the spark plug wires connect to the coil. Wierd.
Thanks for your help.
