tach fuse

where does the tach get power, which fuse?

If it's only the tach not working, the problem is the trailing coil or the tach itself. If all the gauges are dead (except the mechanical speedo) then it's the 10A METER fuse.

tach,clock both stopped at same time, shift up light still works, car is running great

The clock has nothing to do with this. You don't say anything about the rest of the gauges so we still can't help you.
