You do know what's involved in running a turbocharger that large, right?

The GT series from Garrett are good turbos...

I don't know if I'd trust a turbocharger "capable of 780 hp" for $250...

Spend your money once.

Just my opinion, though...

yes most def but i do plan to rebuild the whole engine with a atkins kit followed with, turbo equal length manifold, 3in full exhuast (downpipe.ect), fmic (now), arp studs, and a greddy emange piggy back

but i thought the t60-1 was a good size to run on the rx7... what would u suggest to run instead...its just street btw

Pretty nice turbo for the rotary with low 400 hp goals. I would think 410 is about the max on this turbo. If you are looking for bigger power there is the t67. Although the 60 pound per minute you get with the t 60-1 (aka to4s) works well.

Just my thoughts

well what i'm looking for is sumthing that can sppol semi fast with decent hp gains.... my goal is 275-285 to the rear wheels. i was looking at t3/t4's to begen with but after me and my bro-n-law got to talkin and doing research we found out how fast a rotory can spool turbos so then i started looking at t60-1... that way if i wanted to play with the boost and add about 50 exta ponnies it would have no problem doing so

Cool, thats not a bad idea......Just make sure you have the right tuning support to turn up the boost:O)

The 60-1 with a .70 cold side and .96 hot side will spool pretty quick not as quick as a bb, but it costs a whole lot less. We have seen many FC's and FD's run this turbo with great results.

Good luck.

a true T60-1 with a .98 hotside would be a good turbo.

the turbo you linked to on ebay however is a piece of **** wannabe replica that will probably break the turbine shaft once it hits 5PSI.

wet floating ball bearings... i wonder if they got that from a pennzoil commercial? i have never seen a good quality BB turbo for less than $800

agreed! all except I think you ment to say .96

edit: when are people going to realize that ebay sells crap unless it's the genuine thing (aka hks, TiAl, greddy, etc...). Every once in a while you can get away with cheap stuff but usually they are things like intercooler cores, some cheaper manifolds and from time to time I've heard wastegates (I would not personally use a cheap wastegate) but for the most part it's all crap.

A/R's come in many sizes so they range greatly, actually i was thinking .95 but some of their older sizes were .96 and .98, if you check their newer series of GT40 turbos the .95 is the most common turbine size.

then again i'm confusing myself again with garrett vs some ebay crap.

i tried getting info on the turbonetics site but that site is pure crap... i was sure it was a .98 but maybe it is a .96, the stamping on the turbo i have laying on my bench is a rather rough casting so hard to make out what their mid size A/R hotside is.

dude for the power levels you are talking about, you could do a BNR stage 2 or 3. You want what, 300whp? With a BNR you don't need a new manifold etc.

T3s are too small for rotaries. T60/ 60-1 straight T4 would be a much better option, compressor is a lot more than you need for 400hp. You're just going to incure more lag, and be less streetable.

Imo, ebay is good for things like accessories, mirrors, lights, stock parts...even body kits. As for performance parts like turbos and such, cheap chineese craftmanship.

Some even lie. My friend bought fake TEIN S springs that were made in china. Poor guy. And he thought he had such a great deal for 105$. The car is higher from the back wheels...
