T2 vs mustang GT

i noticed that the 86-88 T2's are about the same speed (stock) as a 95+ mustang GT. do you think a T2 with intake/full exhaust could beat a mustang GT with the same minor mods? what if it were a fox body one with the oldschool 5.0? i know those things launch hard cause of having 280 torque. what do you guys think?

99+ has 190 hp for v6
260 for GT

it is lower for pre- 99

I think 150 for v6
not sure for GT

The 99+ GTs run about 14 flat stock(or can). With full exhaust and intake you should be about there or better, depending on boost levels. You should kill the 94-98 GTs pretty easy with intake and exhaust.

Stock, you will prolly lose. Put on an intake and gut your cats and you should win.

Over 12 psi easy. You'll creep up higher. I hope you have some extra fuel going in!
