t2 tranny question

i searched, didnt find anything. just wondering if there are any obvious external differences between n/a and t2 trannies, like weight, size, markings, etc. somthing easy that would help sorting this parts mess im in. thanks alot!

They are radically different.

The easiest thing is to look at the bottom. The Turbo (R type) tranny will have an access plate running accross the bottom, and two fill spots for gear oil.

The non Turbo M type tranny will not have a large access plate and only one fill spot.

And this has been covered quite a few times... perhaps your search was flawed???
