Question T2 owners that have had problems with their drivetrain, please read!

The problem: My car is really hard to go into gear, I can do it, it's just not easy. When the car is off I can put it into gear fine, when the car is on is when i have the problem. I had a swollen clutch line, so i replaced it with a ss one from mazdatrix. Bleed it, got all air out, and refilled and nothing was fixed. I also replaced the pilot bearing as well. The slave and master are fine, there are no leaks and they are working fine, as you can see the fork moving on the top of the bell housing. Is there a possiblility that either my clutch fork is bent/cracked. My clutch disc is cracked or messed up somehow. I have an ACT street strip clutch and pressure plate on it now that is about 3 years old or so. Any insight to this? I know it sounds wierd becuase i said i replaced my pilot bearing, i didn't really inspect the fork or clutch very well. Pretty much, my clutch isn't disengaging right at all. please help.

thanks

I know you said it was fine already, but when was the last time you changed the slave and master cylinders?

Try to adjust the pedal freeplay. The manual will have the freeplay specs and the pedal height specs.

we did adjust the free play, i figured out what it is...

I have a 75% stiff clutch. The old slave and master are just not getting enough pressure to disengage it. When we first adjusted the free play, it would work fine for a while, then it would go back to the way it was. We found out the master and slave are just slowly bleeding out air, and not giving it enough pressure to disengage. I'm ordering a new master and slave, i'll let you know if this fixes it. I'm about 99% sure this is why. thanks for the help

Hmmm. I may do the same in the near future. I have had some quirkyness with my setup (very similar to yours).

Yeah, i guess that they just wear out, especially when they are not used to that much pressure.
