T2 front brakes rubbing

i have a pair of rims that rub on the little nub on the side of the callipers forcing me to slap on a 5mm spacer, but that makes my tires rub on my fenders -_-. can i file down the nub enough to beable to lose the 5mm spacer?

You can file down the "bump" but I don't know what the acceptable limit is.
Probably easier and safer to roll the fenders a bit.

I've taken 2mm from the caliper nub without incident, but, like clokker noted, not sure how far to take it until someone sacrifices a caliper by exposing the hole.

^Agreed; only the assurance that if the nub is removed completely, the hole will be exposed (which seems rather obvious).

My wild guess is either you have Starion wheels or Crown Victoria wheels. Either way it is safe to grind that nub almost completely flat.

I did so on mine and it is just a hunk of casting.

Although I still have maybe 1mm left of the nub.
