Well i finnaly got my stater in after droping a motor and tranny into my shell. However it just doesnt want to turn over.

symptoms:
timeing light shows no spark(new plugs and wires)
fuel pump only turns on while cranking
tach shows slight movement when key on but not while cranking

what I have checked
coils and cas are good from what the chiltons manuel says for me to check
the coils are getting a 12v with key on
35psi of fuel when cranking
the cas still has the factory cap and the timeing still is in stock position
battery has 12v
checked main fuses and ones by kick pannel and all are good


what I am going to do
I am going to change the fuel filter and check the one on the pump. Since I did the test for the fuel pump, and it just kept running. Meaning it is not probperly pressuring.

 

have you tried the spark plug test were you hook up another CAS and pull one of the plugs and aim it at the stock tower on the drivers side? and checking spark for each plug?
Checking for fuel to engine.
unplug the fuel hose coming from the engine that connected to the fuel filter and put it in a plastic bottle and crank for about a second or 2 and see if there is any fuel coming out.
what is this s4 or s5? check your engine codes too.

 

how do you do the test with the other cas? does the car have to be cranked or just key on? On just key on I saw no spark.

ok so i got spark. Turns out the main relay was not giving 12v to the ecm. I ran an extra wire striaght from the main relay to the pcm and I have spark.
