System got jacked and now wont start

Got my 91 not to long ago and it came with a nice system. bad *** dual cd player, subs and everything. they broke hte ******* windo the other day and totally jacked all my **** and from what i guessed they siphoned my gas too. i can hear the engine rotating but it just isn't wanting to start. I added a little less than 8 gal of gasoline just to see if thats the problem and that still isn't the problem. really fucked me over and i'm looking for the ********** that did this, but in the mean time gotta get my car fixed. any ideas fellas?

Maybe they tried to steal it and flooded it out.

deflood precedure, you could try flooring and cranking a few times and see if that works, or disconnect the tps thing, read the faqs lol I think it's in there

Well your system is flooded an easy way to fix that is to remove one of your spark plugs and turn the engine a few times. that will get all the gas out of the engine do it for about sec and try it 4 or 5 times at always works for me foreal try that and pm me and let me know what happens

also take out your fuse for your fuel so that you dont mess it up do that first before you take out the spark plug

They could have flooded it by giving it gas during start up. IIRC S5's have a fuel cut function if you press the gas ALL THE WAY down during start up. I'd try that. If that doesn't work, you can pull the EGI fuse in the engine bay and crank it for about 10 seconds then put the fuse back and try to start it again. Then again...If they were back there cutting wires trying to get the sub box out in a rush...maybe they cut the fuel pump wires? I assume they are run in the cargo area under the matting. Good luck.

well i tried all of it. i removed the egi fuse. and at first i just removed the top left spark plug. and i tried to start it. and i went back out and it seemed like it was draining cuz i could smell a lot. i installed it back up and tried and it didn't work. i than did the upper and lower and tried again and turned for a few second and it started getting very weak. i thought maybe it was drained so thats why it was a bit weaker so i tried again attached the EGI, and the spark plus and still got nothing. any other ideas. oh and i'm about to try the fuel pump wire ideas.

Try cranking it with the EGI fuse OUT and the plugs IN. The idea is to pump oil into the chambers without pumping in any fuel to help build compression....I don't know if that works on an S5 though since your oil metering pump is electric instead of the S4 mechanical one it may run on the EGI circuit as well. You might want to make sure you're getting spark...If they were trying to steal the car there's no telling what wires they may have cut. Also, I think there is a "engine" fuse in the interior fuse box...I'm not sure this has ANY effect on the engine running but it only takes 5 seconds to check it.

You can spin the CAS or do what I did which was put the wires near the frame, crank it, and see if they arc.

but nothing seemed slower on it like, the wiper blades or anything. and if i wait a couple of hours and go back out it is somewhat better. i don't know. but anyway i tried it all over again and i noticed there was a tiny bit of smoke coming out of the back and on another thread someone mentioned that it is actually flooded in this case. is that true?

Yes! Try Doing This Try Taking Out One Of Your Spark Plugs And Your Fule Fuse And Try Cranking It For A Few Min. Just To Get All Of The Fule Out Of Your Engine Then Put The Spark Plug Back In And The Fuse And Then Try Kranking It

a more thorough de-flood procedure would be this:

-pull egi fuse and lower spark plugs
-turn over at wot for 10 seconds (should see mist come from the spark plug holes)
-add a little 2-stroke oil to lower spark plug holes
-reinstall spark plugs and fuse
-try to start like normal

repeat if it doesnt start, it should start the 1st try though

gotta love the flood theft deterent system

tell me if this is safe. because my battery is starting to die from crankin so much. is it okay to remove the EGI and lower spark plugs and than give it a jumper just so it doesn't die on me. i don't kno its all what you guys think.
