I have those headlights, I'm on my second set in 6 months, and one of them is already burnt out again.

Theyre Really nice, until they burnt out. It's really shitty. I saved my receipt so I returned the one that blew up. I got a new one, and the other one blew up. Guess what, No receipt anymore.

I just drive with my highbeams on all the time now.
The low beam filament is REALLY SHITTY and they burn out fast.
Theyre nice if you want to replace them alot.

They are brighter than Stock though.

I'm nto complaining anymore though, the Highbeams rock!

Those ebay "projectors" are junk...the cut-off is terrible and they glare a lot. For a nice upgrade from the stock sealed units, try a Hella replaceable H4 "offroad" housing. The beam pattern is a bit more aggressive. Couple this housing with a quality standard H4 bulb, or a high-wattage H4 for a real upgradpe! An aftermarket wiring harness is necessary with high-powered bulbs to take the abuse.

I've tried silverstars. They are brighter but burn out too quickly.
I'm sticking with the plain ol' halogen h6054's.
They work well and if you can't see, slow down before you kill someone! Plus, you can replace them cheaply every couple of years when they are weather beaten yellow faded or fogged.

I really don't know what the infatuation is with lightbulbs with all the ricers. They must have some inferiority complex.

Little tip - Use your favorite paint sealant on headlights after cleaning them. They will stay cleaner, longer...

The stock headlights are not bright enough IMO. I replaced mine with H4 bulbs and housings for that reason. I could care less how they look as long as they illuminate the road better than stock.

Isn't the discussion about Silverstars, not Cool Blues? I've had the Silverstars for a year and they work very well. Best $40 and 20 minutes I spent on the 7. The Silverstars don't have a blue tint, they are a different color temperature.

Hey guys. Sorry I didn't know this thread was still up. I was just going to address what everyone was saying and maybe later I will get some pics up of them at night.

Firstly I'm not a ricer. (I think?!) And I could care less if the color was blue. I was just looking for the best stock replacement and UPGRADE I could get for the cheapest price. These have been awsome at night and light up the road about twice as much as the last one's did. These are Silvania SilverStar's and not CoolBLue. These have been one of the best investments I've put into my car for the money I spent. Every time I turn my headlights on at night I'm amazed at the amount of light that these put out.

They are very clean and look very respectable. The light they put out is not "TINTED" any color at all and is very WHITE!! I even had people flash me at night because they thought I had my High's on then I flash them with my High's and they get freaked out at how bright these are. LOL.

Sometimes though I do think about getting projectors because these don't seem to shoot out in front as much as I'd like them.

Over all I would give them a 9/10 for lighting and a 10/10 for price and ease of install.

Definitely something others should check out.

I have ran the SilverStar in my bike for a year or so. I just bought that H4 conversion off of Ebay, and will replace the shotty bulbs with some Silverstars FOR SURE. I really like these bulbs, and have been fortunate to not have one burn out yet.
