switching from electric OMP to mechanical OMP *in need of help*

my engine and whats running it:

1989 J-spec S5 TII engine (electric OMP-main issue)
EMS is MSII V3.0

I want to run a mechanical OMP or a "Jerry rigged" reservoir with a pump utilizing the stock OMP injectors and then premix for an added safety precaution (little amount)

Because I'm running with MegaSquirt EMS, I don't believe there is a function/format that controls the electric omp thus having it necessary to have oil injected in some other way or form...I would run premix but I'm sort of an idiot when it comes to remembering to do something important (very bad habit)...So I want to have the assurance that my engine is receiving adequate amounts of oil, if not, more oil (added premix to gas). I read through some basics/ did some research and came to the conclusion that in order to run a mechanical pump from an older/previous series, I would have to change the front cover due to the different bolt up pattern, could I make mounts to allow the mechanical omp to bolt onto my S5 front cover (I really don't want to change the front cover). Is this true or not that an S4 OMP wont fit on the S5 OMP mounting area? I'm not having too much luck on finding a "Jerry rigged" reservoir with pump application on the forum and running premix is becoming a more prevalent answer to my question.

Is there any other way of allowing oil to be injected into the engine mechanically? (brief description needed please)

Remember seeing a link from another thread...see this:

You can use a generic reservoir and feed your engine that way. Since you don't have the factory ECU, no other worries.

you cannot buy that adaptor and have it work off the shelf so to speak. Took alot to get it to work for me off throttle like a mechanical s4 system works.

the one on that other website that hovik posted looks to the be THE ****- that is the one I would be trying to get.

there seems to be a bug in the antispam software allowing you to get through directly

this is his profile on ausrotary,, and he is only on once a month or so

You make a VERY BOLD statement by claiming you have better logic to control the OMP but yet you do not share how this unit actually works. I'd like to know exactly what inputs the device accepts and the logic(s) you are using to determine a correct amount of oil to deliver.

Perhaps you can start a thread and provide some general info & answer these questions above?

mate their's a whole thread on it Ausrotary.com

from what I know its done on exactly the same config as the stock one (load vs TPS) and you can mod the ratio's if required as well.

But Im sure eomp will answer as well.

Listen, I've spent a damn good deal of time disassembling the 8bit ECU processors. Dont start spreading **** like "TPS vs. Load" because thats NOT "how it works".

There are 3 MPU's in the 8bit ECU and one very powerful 16bit MPU on the 16bit ECU's. There is a hell of a lot more going than what you are say. The OMP isn't a "load based" 2D Table or anything like that so stop spreading that false info.

Since you couldn't successful find anything by yourself here are some links.
Personally I have nothing to do with the unit.

I know this is the stock mazda config. I know its not 2d you tool

Go have a read and ask questions the to creators !!!. Their experience will far outweigh yours Im sure.
