I'm lost at what this actually does. I just read the description: shift light activation, adjustable aerodynamics based on speed? I'm just curious at what the advantages you can gain from all of this?

Like it says, it's a frequency switch. It switches an on-board relay based on a changing frequency. It can be used to operate a shift light based on rpm, or anything else you can think of. It's uses are limited only by your imagination.

thanx guys, welp its actually to do the electric actuators conversion. With a bike pump modified and the rpm switch/4000 rpm pill, I wont need my airpipe coming from the cat. Being i did away with it already. I dont like the idea that i need to wire my ports open right now!!

Don't get one that needs pills, get one that's screwdriver adjustable. That way you'll be able to tune the 6PI system so that it opens at the best point.

like NZ said there are lots of different applications ... one of the main one though for us i think would be 5th and 6th port activation (well for the people that have those ports)

Thanx NZ, but Im thinking of a MSD one. Cause I heard MSD is a good company to get stuff from. Anyway that one you posted looks difficult to install.

It'd be no more difficult to install (exactly the same connections) but you have to assemble it yourself, so it's not for everyone. Way better than MSD though...

I would suggest using the MSD switch and wiring a potentiometer where the pill goes. That's how I did my electronic 6pi and it works perfectly, and it's fully adjustable.

It's basically just a variable resistor, you can get one for about three bucks at Radio Shack.

This is how I did mine, there's links for the stuff I used:

Yeah, the guy always sells them and I think the only people that buy them use them for rotary 6PI . It's perfect because it's got an easy to use 2-pin connector that spade terminals fir perfect, it puts out just enough air to open the ports, and it has an internal relief valve incase the pressure gets too high. Good luck with it, be sure to post how it turned out.
