Switched to 20w-50 oil

so i changed my oil around 2000 miles ago and so far it appears that my car has not used any oil. this has me deeply concerned. last oil change i used 10w-30 and it burned it like normal but due to the increase in temps i switched to 20w-50 and now it doesnt seem to be burning any oil. the car runs great but that doesnt mean that somthin isnt right. Should i start running premix to be safe?

I've run 20w-50 in my car since I bought it in 2002. No problems. The car shouldn't use much oil anyways, even with the injection system. 20w50 is a bit thicker.

Seems alright. The 13BT seems to use less oil than the VQ35 in my Infiniti!

Lets put it this way. In 3000 miles, my dipstick will drop maybe half way between full and low... if that....

I have been using 20w50 as well. Mostly because after 3000 miles the oil is diluted with raw fuel. The heavier weight 'helps' prevent it from thinning too much.

So yeah, dipstick level doesn't change much because oil is going out, and gas is coming in!!

Thats because your oil control rings are going out, its not really supposed to do that.

My engine has less than 10,000 miles on it.

How about its because I have no emissions control on it, and its running rich.

If my oil control rings were going out, it would blow smoke. I've been there with my old FB.
