It's not a mazdaspeed kit, that's a one off job that cost around 10K to do. I used to drool over it when I first saw it and was using my GSL as a daily a few years back.

There used to be a kit to make the 1st gen look like an old Jaguar E-type convertible. It came complete with bracing and instructions for cutting the roof off.

Yea, there's a 1st Gen running around here with a kit exactly like that! Or at least there used to be. Purple, big wing, and I believe it had Corvette taillights ( )

When I had my 2.3 Stang, I was scared to race him, but now I'd run it anyday!

Yeah, that looks a lot like a 944 in the front. Still looks good, though.

The reason it looks like a 944 if because the kit is for a 944. Its modified to fix his rx7. I did a bunch of research on his car along time ago, but i forgot his website. Its a turbo GSL-SE, and i managed to pull up some old info www.mazspeed.com did about it.

"Tyrone Henriques 29yrs old

Toronto, Canada

This is my 5th RX7 (1 83', 2 GSLSE,1 88' TT,1 93')

second owner, car purchased in 1991 (stock) with 80km(130km on chassis) I have been modifying my RX since then and will continue until I decide to sell it.....

MODS:

"NEW SE" motor ported with 8 91' turboII injectors

2nd gen parts: computer/harness/fusebox and complete sensors, ignition/turboII rad/ upper/lower intake/flywheel/turboII seats.

Garrett T04 turbo with 4" downpipe, 3" exhaust, custom intercooler

91' transmission, racing beat "race clutch" (centreforce would slip @ 15psi boost)

custom coilover suspension (eibach & koni adj shocks) 2" drop adj.swaybars RB

Bodykit is custom...used Porsche 911 kit and lights incl head lights H4-hella, wing Supra turbo,

Firelass parts: fenders, frontclip, centre section between head lights, rear quarters(cut and molded) rear valance bottom section of doors 2" wider ,complete car is 2.5 " wider on EACH SIDE....

Paint baseclear 1996 Porsche "ARENA RED"

MODS currently underway and will be finished by spring 2000:

Brakes:13.5 rotors/willwood calipers

91' TurboII computer/harness etc.. upper/lower intake used 6 to 4 port adapter

Griffin aluminum rad

Simmons 3-piece rims 17 x 9, 17x 8.

New wing/ minor changes to body....new paint job "
