you cant go wrong with brand name sway bars or underbraces..

What type of suspension mods do you have currently? A handful of guys run with no rear sway bar if you have a moderately stiff suspension like coilovers. If your still stock struts/shocks, id upgrade those before even considering sway bars.

black91n/a did a write up on making your own underbrace, but total up the costs of materials + tools to make it and you could just buy one.

If it'll be a while until you get coilovers, than focus on keeping the suspension stockish. Inspect bushings, and upgrade shocks. I think that sways or underbrace can truely be decided on how you drive(IMO).

If you're still using the factory dampers, they are 20+ years old and toast by now (and they were never designed to handle higher spring rates). A decent set of shocks KYB AGX or Tokico Illuminas will be a much better upgrade than sways or braces.

Hard to immagine how you could pay someone to build one and ship it to your door for less than the ~$15 it'll take to make one. Tools are always useful to have around, you'll need them again at some point.

If you don't have the skills to make my brace, you probably shouldn't be working on your own car. It's about as simple as can be, just a little bit of cutting and drilling. As for tools, all you need is a hack saw and drill, those come in handy in all sorts of other situations, so calling that part of the cost of the modification is a bit of a fallacy IMHO.
