Sway Bars (Stabilizers)

• Anti Sway Bars •

-Tanabe Front
-Racing Beat Rear
-Racing Beat EndLinks
-KYB AGX/Some Lowering Springs

Stability & Handling Definitely nicer.

Short video clip that I took to use up my extra time.
Nothin special, & you probably won't see ****.

V_I_D_E_O

*If you don't know, click on the lower right corner of the video window (down arrow) & you can adjust the resolution to Original size or double.

If anyone wants the old TII sway bars (stabilizers) p.m. me. (maybe N/A guys?)

I'd suggest soaking up the areas for uninstall/installation of anti sway bars with WD40 or similar, or see pic --

(You can ask 95Nracer about that)

I'd also suggest using RB endlinks, or see pic --
(Using stock is like wiping your *** with your bare hand)

I definitely feel it dude, it's not like I put something and like, WTF?
Definitely a difference for me.

ST is a bit bigger than all, I think, so you can have a look at that too., but I like my Tanabe and my KYBs are adjustable.

Stop planning, Do it now. And yes, you can use RB endlinks for front and rear.

Check out my pictures, they are front and rear.

I like my RB sways, but the car understeers more than I would like. If I had to do it again I'd get the Eibach bars, because the rear bar is a little thicker and it's adjustable, which is a nice feature, as it gives you some choice to how the balance is.

I am gonna do the racing beat suspension kit (sway bars and coil springs) along with kyb gr2 or agx frt and rear struts, rb adjustabable end links, racing beat solid frt strut tower bar, some sort of rear bar, then hopefully get the bbs vert rims with some Falken Azenia tires.

anywho thx for the info on the links

Maybe you can adjust your dampening? idk.
I don't think rear sway bars is the only solution for understeer..

Well I've still got stock springs and shocks. According to the available information, the RB sways increase the stiffness in front a bunch more than in the rear (100% stiffer in front, 65% stiffer rear), which should increase understeer all else being equal. It's nice and safe, predictable and all that, but it just understeers more than I'd like. I'll be getting coilovers next year and I'll play around with different combinations of stock and RB sways, and maybe even ditch the rear alltogether all in search of perfect balance.

Any reason why you went tanabe in the front and racing beat in back? Just curious. I am waiting on my racing beat sways right now. Should be here any day.

I was under the impression that a thicker rear sway bar would produce more understeer. That's why a lot of people run with no sway bar in the rear at the track, so they don't have as much understeer. I was planning to go with the Racing Beat sways just because the rear bar isn't as thick as the ST bars.

A stiffer bar on one end will cause that end to slide first. So a larger front bar = more understeer, a larger rear bar = more oversteer.

I don't know why, but with race cars, they just seem to work best that way with the kind of spring rates they use. You can use stiff bars all around, but you need to adjust the spring rates to compensate. Having no rear bar will help with traction (accel) out of the corners, as the sways aren't transferring load away from the inside to the outside.

Nice pictures of the install too.

Especially like the broken endlink.

A friend of mine just put new bars and links on his s14 240sx and his old links fell apart in his hands while he was taking them off.

The reason is because that's all I've got
Yes, RB anti sway bars will be great. You might like 'em. RB endlinks too?

I think I am going to have to order some of those...although I don't have any idea the condition of my current endlinks. Probably wasted. But a guy owed me some money and the part I originally ordered was taking forever, so I decided to get some sways instead.

Might as well install new endlinks while you're there. Def. worth it.

Sorry for bringing this back from the dead, but i just recently installed the Front Tanabe sway bar and the bar is hitting one of the bolts on the power steering rack. Also the metal couplings that came with it are kind of too big so the bar is loose when you jack up the car. Is this normal or am i doing somethnig wrong... Thanks.

sway bar bushings

Can the bushings be replaced with the wheels under full load. Also,I've heard the rubber bushings are hard to remove. Why? And if so is it harder to get the new ones on especially if they are the polyurethane. Thanks for helping an old fart!

Just ordinary street use.I heard that using the harder bushings on the sway bar make the car act as if the car had larger sway bars but minus the cost of buying larger sway bars.I do not plan on using polyurethane for any other place such as the control arms.I think Dragon automotive also sells the rubber sway bar bushings in normal and hard if the polyurethane ones are not the way to go.And thanks for the reply.

I decided to order both rubber and urethane busings for the front sway bar.If I don't like the feel of the urethane ones I will then use the rubber ones and give away the urethanes to someone on this board for just the shipping charge.Later.
