swapping N/A for TII..... a couple Q's?

I have and 88 N/A and it smokes when I start it when i hold it at 4,000 RPM's..... A friend is going to sell me his engine, turbo, transmission, drive shaft, ECU, etc... Basically anything that i need that he has on his car. My question is this: Is there anything that i need to pay special attention too before i swap? How can i make the swap legal? If so, how much will it be to make it legal? How long would it normally take to do the swap?.....by the way i have all the tools necessary to do the Job (Uncle is a Certified Mechanic) I also have the haynes rx-7 bible and mazdatrix is just a couple miles away....Please help?

As for the Legailty you need to attach ALL stock emmisions equipment, and make sure the TurboII stuff is from the same year car or newer.

Then take it all down to some smog refer (call the DMV) and get it approved. If you have all the emmisions stuff in place and working it will be legal and smogged as a TII or that year from now on.
