Ya same here with the tokico's (ill5's), I also have eibach springs. I think the tokico's are awesome. My friend (also with an rx-7) has the k2rd's, both are great, but my friend and I always think our own cars have the better feel.

my suspension mods...

- Full Energy Suspension polyurathane bushing set including front and rear sway
bar end links, rear trailing arm bushings, front lower A arm bushings
- Tein S-Tech springs
- KYB AGX adjustable shocks
- new mazda bushings for the front and rear sway bars because the E.S. ones did
not fit... they were made for the sport suspension and i only have the "plain
version"
- new rear sublink
- new rear control links
- swapped out front tower mounts with better ones from my peiced up parts car
- and put in new front wheel bearings while I was at it.

Did all this work myself at the community college as I am currently studying to be an automotive service technician.

Results or lots of money and hard work...
a ride that lowered about 1.5 inches in the front and about 1.0 in the rear, handling that will wow anyone who gets in the passenger seat... and also the onlookers as you move over lanes lightning quick with 0 drama.

The ride itself is not very harsh at all.
I have noticed understeer now and this should be fixed very soon with more horsepower .
My rear camber is now wayyyy off spec (about 2 to 3 degrees of camber)... anyone know how to fix this without changing my trailing arms???

One thing unexpected was the front brakes now lock up under hard braking because of a lot less weight transfer to the front wheels. I guess I just didn't think of it at the time, but I can live with it untill I get myself a full set of 5 lug hubs and 4 piston brakes next year.

Happy Rotoring

so far ive noticed that kyb shocks with either RB or Tien springs are a favorite

are there any other really good combos out there... im goin to need to swap the old suspension soon and i want something that i can take to the track but is still very streetable and lowers the car around 1" to at most 1.5" i hate it when people have to slow down to 2km and take a speedbumb on a angle, also i want something more ( o yeah if it all possible im lookin for a red/black theme not really a big issue but its preffered )

btw: viper - get that swap asap... the brakes are amazing, plus they look so damn good when painted to match your car

Most 7s have to take speedbumps at an angle, even stock..

Speed bumps are no problem as for the lowering,
but the racing beat road race exhaust is the problem right now, my presilencer is about 3/4 of an inch lower than anything else under the car and its tucked up as high as possible

really? must be that damn oval muffler design >.< i was planning on buying RB cat-back but im thinking of goin with GReddy power extreme now.

impreza: well my car is stock, and my suspension is not even in good condition and i can take speed bumps. i just have to slow down right before i hit em (more then other cars do tho)
