Arrow Suspension Issues

Ok so im getting ready to redo the suspension all the way around on my car and every time I go online looking for shocks and coils nothing fits the gxl or the electronic suspension . I'm not to worried about having the electronic suspension but just having a better ride. If anyone knows please let me know. Thanks

Everything that fits any other FC fits your car. You just won't be able to keep the auto adjusting suspension. I have a GXL that had AAS, and recently replaced them all with tokico blues, and they all fit fine.

Only reasonable way to keep the AAS is to get OEM struts, and those are ridiculously expensive.

Are you looking to lower the car or just replace the stock components?

I wanna drop it a little but not be ridiculous about it. Just to give a cleaner look but keep it practical cause I go over 5,000 speed humps just in my school

A friend who sells suspension for a living, rebuilds and valves shocks, and provides track side support for racers said if the car is your daily driver and you want the best performance suspension on a budget get koni yellows with whatever springs. He said the koni yellows were the best rebuildable shock for someone on a budget. That means they can be valved to provide the best tire grip on the street. He also said Tein was overpriced garbage.

not to thread jack, but advance sells teh AAS

can the stock AAS shocks/springs be put on a non-aas car no issues? or do they need to be hooked to the electronics?

I went to advance and the guy got on his computer and told me they didn't carry them and I'm pretty sure that they would bolt right up but they wouldn't electronically adjust cause they'd be missing that module that tightens n losins them up

There is an aftermarket setup that you can get that adjusts the Shocks, but it can't be used with the stock Auto adjust suspension.
who was it that had that??....uh..J-rat?..(holy ****,about 2 years ago now,he had then for sale.part of a deal.shocks and ajuster thingies for them).
I think it was called EDC..electronic dampening Controller.

I think I'm gonna just get rid of the AAS and go with something that adjusts manualy . The AAS is a good concept but it's a lot easier to not have to worry about it

i think your talking about Teins EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) it will electronicly ajust some of the higher end coilovers they sell.

those are extremely pricey and i think i like the idea of manually adjusting each shock better . it feels more convincing to me then letting a little button handle everything

I have been nothing but disappointed with all of the stuff coming out of the Japanese and Chinese markets as far as dampers and springs (Tein, Stance, Megan, etc).

Get a set of Koni yellows with whatever aftermarket springs give you the drop you want (RB, Eibach, something quality) and you'll be happy with the results. Ditch the AAS.

You also need to unplug the AAS controler. Its in the spare tire well behind the right tail light. Just have the key off and disconnect the harness from the bottom.
