suspension help
so I'm looking into new suspension for my vert, I'm looking to keep it a nice ride, and not too low, I'd like to be able to go over speed bumps and train tracks with no worries, but a little lower than stock... any suggestions?? I appreciate the help.
also does anyone know if the vert and coupe are different?

I have Racing Beat springs and KYB AGX shocks on my vert. I found the best deal on the shocks at Tire Rack.
The springs are different between the vert and coupe, but the shocks are the same.

Deftones >> Sounds like RB springs for you... AFAIK, everything other than OEM or RB will be pretty harsh for DD conditions..
Evil Aviator >> Looks like Andy's Auto Sport is slightly cheaper: 86-92 Mazda RX7 Struts and Shocks from KYB at Andy's Auto Sport [though I didn't calculate shipping, so it could go either way]

Check out the Tokico Illumina struts, they are adjustable for when you want the ride to be a little bit firmer as well.
You could go with ground control springs, adjustable ride height, but they are pretty stiff. You would probably be better off going with some OE replacements.

I bought mine a few years ago, so there may be better deals now. However, I doubt that Racing Beat or Mazdatrix has the best deal on KYB AGX, so I suggest shopping around a bit.
Tokico Illuminas have a top-mounted adjuster, which means that you would need to remove the interior of your convertible every time you want to adjust the rears. The rear KYB AGX shocks have the adjuster on the bottom so it has easy access from the wheel well.

I put the Eibach springs and Koni shocks and inserts in my 1989 convertible. I used the units intended for the TII. The Eibachs are progressive and start out a little softer than the stock spring. If your car has its original equipment still in, like mine, it's gonna feel like a new, and better, car. The Konis are top adjustable, but after the first week, I haven't adjusted mine in two years.
