can someone give me a parts list of everything i would need for upgraded suspension, and are any of the parts from my existing suspension interchangeable?

Change out the springs with some tannabe gf210s. 1.5" drop front and rear.

It will be a bit stiffer ride. Anytime you lower a car the springs have to be stiffer to keep the tires from hitting the wheel wells.

your not going to get a smoother ride than stock lowering it. You may be able to retain the majority of the ride comfort depending on what springs you get. What size tires are you running?

The normal drop is .75" to 1". Most likely 2" would be a downgrade, not an upgrade.

- Camber/Caster kit (front only)
- Coilover strut mounting kits front/rear
- Coilover struts front/rear (Recommend Koni, Bilstein, or JRZ)
- Coilover springs front/rear (2.25" or 2.5"ID, depending on the coilover kit)
- Anti-roll bar front/rear
- Strut tower brace (front only)
- Adjustable rear camber vertical link
- Adjustable rear camber links left/right
- Competition control arm bushing kit front/rear
- Competition sway bar end link bushing kit front/rear
- Toe-steer (DTSS) eliminator kit
- Competition sub-frame bushing kit
- Competition transmission mount (2 each)
- Competition differential mount (front)
- Competition differential mount (upper - 2 each)

Hmm, I think I listed everything. Plan on spending about $4,000, and keep in mind that some of the bushings are really difficult to replace and will require a lot of skill on your part or you will need to have a professional install them. The bushings usually come in 4 types, listed in order from mild to more intense: 40% stiffer rubber, urethane, Delrin (UHMW), and custom spherical bearing.

The major components work fine for competition as long as they are not damaged.

Cut your springs. Your car will be lower and it will ride like a Cadillac.

But really, don't do that.

It depends on a lot of factors like tire size, offset, fender flares, purpose of the car, etc. I have seen a lot of purpose-built autocross cars slammed to the ground, but that would not work on the street. Most stock-body street FC cars I have seen run about 1" drop.

Just make sure you replace the dampers, springs, and bushings at the same time.

The KYB dampers are not really intended for serious racing, but they will work for light duty like street and autocross. Eibach ERS springs are used in the Ground Control coilover kit which can use the KYB dampers. The Ground Control kit drop is advertised as 0 to 1.5".

The bushing material depends on you and how you want to drive the car. Stiffer material allows for better performance, but it makes the ride very harsh and causes a lot of creaking and groaning noises from the suspension. I can't remember exactly what is in my car, but I think it is mostly urethane bushings, 40% stiffer mounts, and Delrin DTSS eliminators.
