It started...

Ran pretty rough but will need a decent tune up.

The return was bone dry, its worrying me that the FPR may be broke.

Excuse the dirty car.

Needs to be tuned A LOT.

Oh and the banging noise is just my intercooler

Nice job! Sounds just fine for now... Other than the intercooler noise.

Feels good getting **** done, eh?

Cheers!

Yea man, I have been absolutely lost on trying to get this thing started. I couldn't believe it was something like this haha!

So next on the agenda, what would be the best way to go about tuning it?

- Check tps (was done before it was put together and was sweet)
- Adjust idle
- Timing
- ???

I have removed emissions so I'll do some research tomorrow as I'm sure someone has asked this.

I just reset the CAS into the correct position (was pretty far out) and put the vac line from the standard BOV to the upper intake >_<, which probably explains the idle drop.

I then went to crank it over and after 5-6 seconds of it not starting I had a look to see what was wrong now.

The secondary injector closest to the front had fuel gushing out of it. It had been pushed down into the lower intake.
I have a feeling I have the wrong seals on the lower intake as the injector can be pushed down (with some effort) which allows fuel to leak at the top. I have never replaced injector seals until now so was not sure how solidly they should be in, and the seals came from an injector shop that were for the FC.

Should the injectors be in with absolutely no play? If so, the lower seals need to be double the thickness. The primaries are fine.

What's also a good way to check the fuel pressure regulator. Check the return line for fuel coming out?

The fuel pressure rises 10 psi when the vacuum hose is pulled off the FPR so the pressure rises from about 30 psi to 40 psi when idling.

Sweet Ill check that when I get it running.

Reluctant to start it until I sort out the injector leak though .

hard to read but, on the left you can see the injector has moved down. On the right is where I'm thinking a bigger seal is needed.
