Supercharging rex

Yaaaawwwn! Well, ive been stayin up pretty darn late planning my supercharging project. If no one else still doesnt do it before im done, you will have a write up with drawings and pics. For this project to be worth while, i highly recommend access to a welder, metal cutters of some kind, a good drill, and the ability to use them. Having these things done by someone else will be a pain in the butt, and probly expensive. If you do have access to a welder, and dont know how to use it, its really not that difficult. I'm sure you can learn the basics online in a few hours.

During planning, ive learned a few things about this project. One thing is, it can go extreamly fast with good prep and planning. I dont have a rex im going to put it in yet, but when i get it, i will be ready to just throw everything in.however, there are a few things in the project im changing. Im still studing about differant superchargers, if i can find a smaller blower for around the same place, id like to go with it insted of the eaton m90(unless the m90 takes less power to use). also, due to budget reasons, unless i find a F-amc for really cheap, im not going to use it. I will however, install Fuel/air Ratio guage, Boost gauge, intake air temp, fuel pressure gauge, and maybe fab up a exhaust pressure gauge. I know its a lot of gauges, and no im not going to have all of them in the open lol. Since im going to be running around 5 pounds of boost on a stock NA motor, and unless i buy it with a new exhaust, that too will be stock but ill hollow out my cats. I do plan on getting headers, empty cats, and 2.5 inch duals back to some cheap/effective mufflers.

after seeing how it starts up, i will judge if i need to retard the timing with the dizzy, and if i should get TII injectors and fuel pump.

If you have any questions just ask. Reason for this thread is so i can ask searched questions when they arise, and people understand whats going on.

Mike
