too much money(new or used) for too little power(170-180 ish). but for any consolation it does improve low-mid torque....sort of

The rotary moves too much air for a supercharger to be efficient at all. Waste of time and money.

if you had a 13B-MSP motor, then it would be worthwhile.....overlap is key boys and girls.

Read Phoenix7's links; the last two were threads I started relating to Camden superchargers. I did some research, as I'd had a chance to pick up a used one on the cheap, but never actually bought one.

The second link that Phoenix7 posted has names of two users, RX7FROMCAL and snub disphenoid, that had that setup. If you search for their posts with "camden" in the thread, you will find plenty of information.
Phoenix7's last link is a thread I created about their price change. It's now a more complete kit than they list on the website (you get ECU and injectors, maybe some other stuff included as well), but it's now like $5500. It was originally $3500 or so.
If you are able to find one used, though, they can be had a good deal cheaper.

The biggest issue with the roots style blower that Camden uses is the lack of intercooling. You can only run a little bit of boost before it heats the air up so much that you are looking at poping the motor. A meth injection kit or an A/W intercooler (custom fab) would go a LONG way to making that kit much more powerful.

The M90 (9in blower I think) has the flow potential for well over 300 whp. The camden's lack of power production has nothing to do with a rotary flowing too much air, and has everything to do with the early kits lack of ECU control and intercooling. The M90 has produced well over 350hp on L67 V6 engines in Grand Prix's. The L67 moves roughly the same amount of air as a 13b would.

If it werent for the fact that a 13bt is cheaper and, arguably, easier to install with greater overall power potential we would see what a roots blower could actually do on a rotary. With the ridiculous amount of overlap this engine has a supercharger is really preferable to a turbo, but since it came with a turbo in TII form that is what has gotten the most developement. If you get a camden get a standalone and a meth injection kit and turn up the boost.

While their website hasn't been updated in a while, the basic kit (with the 7" supercharger) now costs upwards of 5k, like I said, but comes with engine management. The original kit would trick the ECU to dump enough fuel to make up for the boost. The new one, however, comes with what I think is called a Wolf3D, or something like that. I don't know if that could be modified for higher boost, though.

i thought zero overlap was more beneficial for sc'ed engines.
