i suggest a 1.5 way lsd if the car is gonna still be driven daily.a 2way is good for drifting but it's a handful on the street when doing tight turns in a parking lot and chew up tires pretty good on low speed turns.plus the diff keeps clunking.i know a few people running a 2way on their fc's and their cars are daily driven, even when backing out of the driveway it clunks and groans pretty good and you can see the inside wheel chattering on very slow turns.1.5way lsd's will also clunk but not as bad.
this also depends on how tight the lsd has been packed.

If you want something cheaper you can always rebuild a S4 diff. (S5 are viscious).

The best is the one you are most comfortable with. I drove the ranger I had (built *** 302/c4/8.8 conversion) with the rear welded for no telling how long and never had a problem, actually liked it better than the LS or lockers because it was predictable, I knew exactly when and how it would step out all the time.

not true, the best LSD is a clutch-type or welded diff, vs. the torsen and viscous type diffs for drifting, makes it easier for the wheels to kick out and stay out.
You may think it's more comfortable on a diff that you're used to, but I bet you'd be faster around a track with a properly set up diff.
