Supercharger questions

I am planning on getting a rebuilt and streetported engine, and I would like to get a supercharger setup to compliment it. I know its been discussed before, and that it wont be as fast a modded T2, but I kinda want it for the uniqueness, plus Im sure itll be plenty fast enough. Well my question is, I thought that there was someone on here that was selling supercharger setups, and I wanted to know who that was, or where else I could get one. If anyone has any info Id appreciate it. Thanks

Would you be up to building your own mount for the s/c? If so, I could set you up with a wicked system. Tell me exactly what you are looking to do.
Currently, there are no s/c kits available.

I have to second Sean on that one. The guy you are looking for that was selling the kits went through the trouble of finding a fab shop to make most of the components and had one group buy when he sold them.

The kits that were once available are discontinued and you will have to fab something yourself or else make some mounts and go with something even more unique.

Good luck and LMK how it turns out. My RX is turning 165k miles and will prolly need a new motor by fall. I was thinking a SP and possibly a supercharger myself.

Not too long ago I saw an adapter on ebay that would allow you to bolt a mustang 5.0 supercharger onto the rx7. It wasn't limited to just the 5.0 supercharger, there were tonz more but I can't remember what they were. When I saw it, it was going for something like $250....does anybody else have any clue what I am talking about?

Thanks guys, but I really didnt wanna fab my own. i think that that guy that had the kits for sale b4 had a pic of his in his aviatar, but I cant remember. I thought it kept the FI too, but I could be wrong. Atkins seems good, although Id have to go carb probably, and It wouldnt pass emissions, I dunno If I can do that either. Thanks for the help though.

that was SuperchargedRex. unfortunately he wasn't selling kits he put together a list of the required parts for the supercharger conversion but we had to go and purchase the individual parts ourselves. He did also include places where we can get the parts and talked to the owners about giving discounts for group buys.

It's been a while but that post should be here:

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=22131

it also has a link to the excel file with all that information.

THEY DON'T MAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!

If you want a set-up like that, count on making your own kit using a centrifugal supercharger.
It's not all the hard.
A shop could make the bracket for you.
I could tell you everything you need to know.
You could keep emissions and keep it FI.

Just tell me your plans and what kind of boost/hp you're looking to make.

Or, email it to me shutup_billy@hotmail.com

Nice choice, I highly recommend ATI Prochargers, esepcailly the SC versions.

Necessary:
Some sort of pulleys to connect it and a belt.
Fuel control (FMU would be easiest)
Fuel pump
Intake piping
Oil source.

Tell me what kind of boost and power you are trying to make and what the engine specs will be, I will be of a much bigger help.
Sean

Well this model is self contained so that eliminates the need for tapping the oil pan for oil.

http://www.superchargersonline.com/p...mber=APC050A-1

FMU? what exactly does this do is this like a S-AFC? or am I off here?

Pulleys Hmmm..

Engine specs as is now stock NA, TB mod, 6port (working), mindtrain race headers, mindtrain mid silencers, Apex N1, Bonez intake.

After it needs a rebuild all same except with a street port.

Boost ? suggestions...

Power ... AS much as possible :-) but its a daily driver

Is there such thing of a stock pushrod engine supercharger that would work? Like one off a T-Bird Supercoupe or even a Buick?
