boost guage

Can someone post a pic of how their boost guage hooked up under the hood.

Also, I reconnected the pressure sensor and tried to "T" in the boost guage it reads no pressure at all.

When you use blockoff plates for the emissions removal I used a cork type gasket that I cut out is this the cause of the no pressure.

That happens when the admins play with the databases/cookies/etc. Anyway, cork tends to leak under pressure. I wouldn't use it. And make sure the nipple your pressure sensor is on actually see's vacuum/boost, and is AFTER the throttle plates.

Finally works

Well it is finally working. I am running about 4 psi at 4000 rpms. Have not ran past that yet. There is a very noticable power increase.

Question - What do you think my SAFC-II settings should be for the fuel increase on standard injectors?

also I did not disconnect anything else other than the airpump and the piece it went into, and replaced it with block off plates
ugh... wow this thing scares me. No offense...

You're getting 4 PSI because you're barely spinning the SC. At 7000 engine RPM, you'll see about 10,500 RPM at the SC.

For those of you who are wondering how to figure out SC RPM:

RPM of SC Pulley = RPM of Engine x (Diameter of Engine Pulley / Diameter of SC Pulley)

What about an idler pulley? What keeps the tension on the belt? I'd like to see a video of the belt with the engine running...I wonder how much it flaps around.

Also, that little air filter on top of the engine is a huge vac leak. That should be connected to the intake pipe after the AFM.

I am about 75% of the max s/c spin at 7000 rpm. I figure I will get about 6 to 7 at redline. That is what I was shooting for. Also the little air filter at the top will be put into the intake after the AFM I was just testing it when I took the pics. I have changed some stuff since then.

I also need to change the supercharger oil, it seems to be getting pretty hot. I will post pics when I get a chance to take them.

Yeah, or you could've installed a decent charger and had lots more power too.
