sunroof wont close

Not to thread highjack, but Ive got the opposite problem. The motor works (can hear it) but the roof wont open. Even with using the hex key its stuck. Its like its wedged or frozen up from lack of use. Any way to fix this? Ive tried cussing it out and pushing up really hard while I worked the switch, but nothing breaks it free. And I REALLY dont want to remove the head liner to possibly fix it. thanks

^^ rails are frozen, remove entire unit and clean or replace the rails

ugh... thought maybe so. oh well, itll stay as a solid roof then, i dont think ill be fixing it anytime soon

I have the same problem. When I bought my rx7 it came up about half an inch. Now after playing with it with the switch it came up at least an inch more. but still don't slide back.
