sunroof wont close

so .. my sunroof wouldnt open at first, then i started messing around with fuses and found a blown fuse, not sure what one it was, my cars missing the top diagram

anyways, after i changed a few fuses the sunroof opened about 3/4 of the way and wont budge anymore, wont close or anything,

looked at the fuses and everything is fine there..

blown motor?

is there a way to manually close it? im going to look into cleaning the rails later, im just worried about rain as of right now

yeah i searched the forum, but most of the threads were for closed roofs trying to open, and id rather just get some 1 on 1 response per say

thanks

my sunroof doesn't work like yours, i never checked for a fuse, I may need to look into that. but anyway if you look for a plastic cover right behind the sunroof from inside the car you'll find a way to close the roof. just pop that cap and make sure you have the right size hex to turn it. That should be it.

As previously stated, there should be a plastic plug just behind the sunroof. If you pop that out, you can then use a metric allen wrench to crank the roof closed. I think all models have that feature.

all I did was use some PB blast and clean up the rails (never dropped the headliner) then after it was all clean (using the pb and a rag getting it into all the grooves) I used some silicone spray to lube up the track and wala now my sunroof opens and closes by itself

My car would do the same thing. It turned out to be my ignition. I would lose power to my sunroof and heater controls. All I had to do was jiggle the key a little and it would work.

I <3 electrical problems.

well you want to pull the motor for that I guess but the plastic cover is not that far back after the sunroof before the hatch. right in the middle. If you don't have it then.....I don't know what else to tell you.

ok....go sit in the driver's seat, and tilt the seat back. ok. now look directly above you (looking at the headliner. now move your eyes toward the passenger side of the car. do you see a circular patch of headliner that sticks out? remove that, turn the bolt, and wala!

Mostlikely the sunroof wasnt stock with the car. (edit) - Stock Meaning, it was installed after they had purchased the car. Pics would help alot.
Aftermarket Rules! lol, if there isnt that, theres no real way to close it mate, besides having the original manual.
Find out how it was wired, but to not get rain in yer car, invest in a plastic tarp.

wow you had a fc with no sunroof and yet somebody cut one in there. out of all the rx7's that have one but yours is aftermarket. Please put up pic's, I want to see why the last owner wasted his money to have one put in.

Some of them came from the dealer like that. People wanted 7's with sunroofs so the dealer took them to local shops and had them do it.

glass is a dead give-away for a dealer mod
