Sunroof/Wipers on same circuit?

Yeah, I looked for the fsm... fc3s.org, no luck... even the one it redirects you to... no luck. And no, due to the cold, i have checked for 12v at the switches yet, which i am well capable of... just if anyone has the answer off the top of their head please...

ANYWAY

After not driving my car with the sunroof open and wipers on due to the cold, non rainy weather... AND the knocking its been doing lately (which i havent solved either, coming from the rear rotor, tell me if you got any suggestions) I get back in the car and niether (sunroof and wipers) are working. so again... are they on the same circuit??

When I replaced the tranny, i figured i could have messed a wire up that was tapped off of the POWER MIRROR switch... is that on the same ciruit too?!?!

The second thread on this site shows the fuse box.
Take a look at it.
No they are not on the same circuit breaker.

Cool

Yes, they are on the same circuit, at least on my 89 GXL. I finally just got my worn out ignition switch replaced. When the second circuit in the switch did not catch on the worn out ignition the sun roof would not work, neither the wipers nor the air. I would give the key a little back and forth jiggle and these systems would come back from the dead like nothing happened.

The sunroof and wipers are not on the same fuse. That should be obvious just from reading the fuse box cover. The sunroof is on the 15A SUNROOF fuse, the front wipers are on the 15A WIPER fuse and the power mirrors are on the 10A CIGAR fuse.

Seperate fuses but both fuses are fed from IG2 in the ignition switch. That explains that.

Ah, correct you are. It does sound like an crook ignition switch. The rear wiper's also on the IG2 circuit, so if all of those are dead you've found the problem.
