Sunroof Weatherstripping.

Alright, so the weatherstripping around my sunroof is shot to hell and I really need to replace it, I get enough showers in my house, I don't need em in my car too. I called all the junkyards around here and there isn't a single 2nd gen. I went to the dealer for a laugh and was quoted $135 for new weatherstripping.

My big question for all you guys out there is, can I use some sort of universal weather stripping? Do you think if I found another car with a similar, maybe slightly larger sunroof, I could take it's weatherstripping?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, seeing as I am a broke college student.

Mold doesn't go well with the 10 AE's interior.

Check the Parts for Sale forum. There are always FC's getting parted out and I bet at least someone out there will be able to get you what you need. I'll see what I can do with my parts car although the sunroof is jammed.

The rubber perimeter strip is just for wind noise & show.
It is not a water seal.
There is a tray under the cap with drain tubes at all 4 corners to keep you dry.
If you're getting wet, you need to pull the headliner, clear & reconnect the drain tubes.

If your careful (no hard poking to disconnect the drain hoses) run some 12-16 gauge wire down the path of drains. I do this for my hatch drains every now and then to keep them clean of small leafy debris.
