Fly wheel for revving?

Less rotating mass = faster spin up.. It'll rev quite a bit faster but higher all depends on the computer and if your spark can keep up. I've seen rotarys winding up to 13k or so in drag cars. I would bet the engines don't last long though.

An aftermarket flywheel is usually made able to withstand revs upwards of 13k rpms. Most are 11.5k rpms I believe. The stock one may grenade at 10krpms and kill you. Just because the flywheel is safe for those RPMS though doesnt mean the rest of your engine is, or that it will make power at any higher of a RPM than before.
